This passion project came about from a desire to share Jo Wallace’s original blog, where her photography and stories of local people made us laugh, smile and sometimes cry. We wanted to share the message that same regardless of our wealth, sexuality, race or gender, we are all the same.
After curating the content, we added some of the hilarious, insightful blog posts bringing the project full circle - from digital to print back to digital.
Illustrations scattered through the book were adapted from Jo’s photography and incorporated textures and patterns to mirror street art and the large screen-printed posters seen everywhere in the inner west.
