During this time we are here for you, our friends, colleagues and clients. At this time, it's never been more important to keep in touch and help each other. Clients, the most important thing is to let people know you're still here. If we can help you remind your audience of this, please get in touch and we can get creative together.
Mel and Rachel
After a three-hour whittling lesson at theIllawarra Festival of Woodlate last year, Rachel got hooked and has been carving tiny birds, tiny bud vases and ring dishes ever since. Experimenting with different salvaged timbers and natural finishes, she's been making beautiful Mid-Century/Scandi-style pieces that feel beautiful to touch, and smell of the raw timbers they're made from. At the end of each day, she can't wait to put down the mouse and pick up a knife and get whittling. You can follow her progress on her newly set up Instagram account@waiting_forspring... aptly named if you think about our current circumstances.
CG Design Studio website
CG Design Studioengaged us to design a website that appealed to their varied client base, from Gucci-wearing fashionistas to baby boomers and everyday mums and dads wanting to update their family home on a budget. We kept the aesthetic distinctively Queensland, where CG Design Studio is based, but with a clean and tailored vibe. Congratulations Chris and the team for making the list of top ten interior designers in Queensland.
With all this time at home, we've noticed a lot of our friends and family trawling through boxes of memorabilia and family collections. For us, this has led to rejoicing at finding grandma's hand-written cookbook as well as finding embroidered cottons Aunty Vi gave Mel years ago, and finally putting them to use. Families, friends and colleagues are finding new ways to connect online, by setting up Facebook groups and organisingZoomparties with the new cocktail Quarantinies. We've even found a box of stamps, so we're handwriting and posting letters and cards. Images above: Left: Rachel being babysat New Zealand-style by her fur brother while her dad gardens. Right: Melissa (Jan Brady) in the lilac bikini, left out of the pet loop as usual.
